Qualification Overview
This maintain energised transmission line using live work stick techniques training course is designed to provide the participant with a thorough understanding of the principles of live high voltage stick work methods and techniques and the application of approved live high voltage work safety practices and procedures.
To provide instruction on the handling, care, maintenance, transportation, storage, testing and identification of tools and equipment, also a thorough understanding of the documentation required to safely undertake live high voltage stick work.
Qualification Prerequisites
Certificate III Transmission Overhead Powerline worker or a qualified transmission powerline worker
Qualification Delivery Methods
- Classroom presentations, group discussions, and equipment familiarisation
- Knowledge and practical assessments
- Train de-energised to live stick work standards
- Train energised to live stick work stage
Course Duration
Initial – 15 days
Refresher – 3 days
Certification
Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment

Minimum/maximum 6 participants
National Recognition
Powerline Training will recognise qualifications or Statements of Attainment issued by another RTO for the purposes of:
RPL – (Recognition of prior learning)
CT – (Credit transfer)
