Qualification Overview

This course covers the initial and refresher training of an individual’s knowledge and skills in the safe performance of rescue procedures from an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) in the workplace. It specifies the requirements of rescue from a raised EWP by a workparty member on the ground and how they apply in a transmission, distribution or rail work environment. It encompasses responsibilities for health, safety, and risk management processes and adherence to safety practices as part of the normal way of doing work.

Qualification Prerequisites

Must have a current EWP operators high risk licence and prior experience working in the electricity supply industry.

HLTAID009 – Perform Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation

Qualification Delivery Methods

  • Classroom presentations, group discussions, and exercises
  • Assessments – knowledge and practical

Course Duration

Initial – 4 hours

Refresher – 2 hours

Group Size

Minimum 2 participants, maximum 6 participants

Certification

Upon successful completion of an initial course each participant will be eligible to receive a Statement of Attainment
